Mike Zabrin is a respected up and coming bassist playing Jazz, Blues, Funk, and Rock. You can see him often performing at major venues and festivals, recently including Allstate Arena, Chicago Blues Fest, Milwaukee Summerfest, WI State Fair, Valparaiso Jazz Festival, and Ozark's Music Festival to name a few. A Jazz Performance major at Columbia College Chicago, Mike has had the pleasure to perform with many major artists including Mike Stern and Brian Culbertson. Jazz guitar giant Mike Stern loved his playing, calling Mike a "beautiful sounding player". At just 20 years old, Mike Zabrin seems to be a top call player for any serious musician.
Warwick featured Mike on their home page in January 2012 as the "Highlight of the NAMM 2012 Show" at the Warwick booth. His performance was featured as "Super Nasty Bassist, Mike Zabrin" next to Bootsy Collins. In May 2012, Mike performed at the "Sound of Bass" Warwick Clinic featuring Andy Irvine. Warwick Clinician and endorser Andy Irvine says, "The first time I saw Mike Zabrin play, I was absolutely blown away. Mike Zabrin is one of the top seasoned cats in Chicago, and his high-level solo vocabulary is amazing."
